Yavapai County has announced the appointment of Craig Refever as new Director of Workforce Development. Lefever brings a wealth of experience and proven track record in workforce development to this important role.
Lefever joined Yavapai County Workforce Development team at Yavapai College, where he served as Program Director/Title II Representative, Yavapai County Workforce Development Board/Title II Representative, Arizona Tribal Workforce Development Board/ESOL Coordinator/Educational Technology Specialist, and Program Director for Adult Basic Education Program (ABE). In this capacity, he demonstrated an extraordinary leadership and a deep understanding of the needs of the local workforce.
His extensive experience includes collaboration with local businesses, educational institutions and community organizations to develop and implement effective workforce development programs.
A renowned graduate of Northern Arizona University, Refever holds a Master’s degree in the arts teaching English to speakers of other languages ​​(MA-TESL). He also acquired a certified manager for Program Improvement (CMPI) at Ohio University in 2011.
“We are truly looking forward to this unique opportunity to serve Yabapai County residents as new workforce directors,” Refever said. “I sincerely hope that my relevant skills and local experience will help guide the Yabapai County Workforce Development Board during these increasingly challenging economic situations.”
