During May, the Yavapai County Building Safety Unit will participate in the 43rd Annual Building Safety Month event. The event is a global campaign to promote building safety presented by the International Code Council, its members and partners.
This year’s campaign, It Starts with YOU, raises awareness of the role we all play in keeping the spaces where we live, work and learn safe. The campaign also connects building codes with our personal safety and the important work done by building safety professionals in our communities.
The Yavapai County Building Safety Unit is pleased to announce that it will be available at the Lowes Home Improvement store at 2300 East State Route 69 in Prescott on Wednesday, May 10 and Wednesday, May 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. increase. Here you’ll find information about our award-winning A Home of My Own program, information about permits and inspections, and various standard plans that are free to the public and available for summer projects. Stop by their booth near Lowes’ Pro Counter to see what they have to offer.
Also, visit the Development Services booth at the YCCA Home Show May 19-21 for additional information on how you can partner with Yavapai County Building Safety to improve home and community safety. Staff are available to provide information and answer common questions about building projects and improvements.
