Effective Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 8:00 AM, Yavapai County will be lifting Stage 1 fire restrictions due to recent and forecasted rainfall.

Please note: Public lands in Yavapai County and Tonto National Forest managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) remain under Stage 1 fire restrictions. Use the links above for more information on specific locations where Stage 1 fire restrictions are still in place.

Please contact your local fire department before burning. Stage 1 fire restrictions have been lifted in unincorporated areas of Yavapai County, but local fire departments will determine whether to lift restrictions.

“The situation is improving so that we can lift fire restrictions, but make no mistake – fire safety is a year-round effort, and even after Stage 1 fire restrictions are lifted, we need to stay vigilant and informed to protect our community,” said Yavapai County Emergency Manager Ashley Alquist.
