Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management Launches New Website to Enhance Public Preparedness

The Yavapai County Office of Emergency Management (YCOEM) is pleased to announce the launch of a new, user-friendly website designed to give residents faster and easier access to information and increase their ability to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies and disasters.

  1. Comprehensive Preparedness Guide: This website offers a comprehensive guide to personal and family preparation.
  2. Emergency Information and Actions: Residents can be informed of current emergency information and specific actions to take in the event of a variety of emergency situations.
  3. Recovery Resources: Immediately following a disaster, the website has a dedicated section on recovery resources, including guidance on cleanup efforts, information on financial assistance, and help for people returning home after a disaster.
  4. Local news and updates: Stay up to date with the latest news and updates on local disasters and emergencies through the news section of the website.
  5. RAVE Registration Preparation: The website provides a link for residents to register for RAVE Prepare, a resident-led, web-based access and functional needs support service.
  6. Genasis Protect: Information about the new evacuation zone system, Genasys Protect. The public can view all emergency advisories, warnings and orders for Yavapai County. They can also view information about evacuation centers by incident, Red Cross shelters, animal shelters, road closures, sandbag stations and more.
