Yavapai County Proposes 3.41% Primary Property Tax Increase: Public Hearing Set for June 25 | Prescott Valley Times local news

In accordance with Arizona Section 42-17107, Yabapai County, whose law has been revised, has notified property taxpayers of Yabapai County’s intention to raise major property taxes at last year’s level. Yabapai County is proposing an increase in primary property taxes by $2,133,478 or 3.41%.

For example, the proposed tax hike will bring Yavapai County’s major property tax to $164.43 for a $100,000 home. Without the proposed tax hike, the total tax paid on the $100,000 home would be $159.01.

The proposed increase excludes the major property tax increases received from new construction. This increase excludes changes that may arise from property tax levies due to voter-approved guaranteed debt or budget and tax overrides.

All interested citizens are invited to attend the public hearing scheduled to be held at 9am on June 25, 2025 at Yabapai County Administrative Services Building, 1st floor, 1015 Fair Street, 86305 Prescott, Arizona.

The truth about the tax notice will be made public on June 10, 2025, June 15, 2025 at the Daily Courier, and on June 10, 2025 and June 17, 2025 to Verde Independence.
