Yavapai County Sheriff David Rose elected to National Sheriff's Association Board of Directors
PRESCOTT, Ariz. (June 27, 2024) – Yavapai County, Arizona Sheriff David Rose was elected to the National Sheriffs Association (NSA) Board of Directors at the organization’s annual conference held this week in Oklahoma City.
Founded in 1940, the National Sheriffs' Association is a professional association serving sheriff's offices and their affiliated organizations through law enforcement education and training, and providing general law enforcement information resources. Each year, the Board of Directors reviews the Association's progress and outlines law enforcement policies to guide the Association's activities.
The NSA plays a key role in shaping national policy on criminal justice and homeland security issues important to the nation's sheriffs, deputies and police in Congress, the U.S. courts and the White House, and Sheriff Rose also serves as the current President of the Arizona Sheriffs' Association.
“I am honored to have been elected to the NSA Board of Directors, a position that was voted upon by my fellow sheriffs across the county,” said Sheriff Rose. “I am honored to represent them and thank them for the confidence they have placed in me.”
The sheriffs endorsed Rhodes based on his experience in border security and his commitment to tackling issues related to the opioid epidemic.
Sheriff Rose is the second Yavapai County sheriff to serve on the NSA Board of Directors.
