The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is required to share information based on ARS 13-3825 about sex offenders as part of a community notice. This alert details offenders living in the unincorporated areas of Yavapai County. It falls on the Chief Law Enforcement Agency to keep the community informed, especially when a sex offender is released from Arizona State Jail or returned to their community from county jail. Offenders are categorized into three levels: Level 1 (low risk), Level 2 (intermediate risk), and Level 3 (high risk).
One such offender is 40-year-old Ryan Moore, who has a conviction that necessitates community notification. He informed the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office of his residence at 20823 E Concho LN in Mayer, Arizona.
Moore was convicted on October 1, 2019, for sexual conduct with a minor in Yavapai County, receiving a two-year prison sentence from the Arizona Department of Corrections.
The goal of this notification isn’t to instill fear but to promote safety through awareness. The sheriff’s office believes that when communities are informed, they tend to be safer. They do wish to remind the public that using this information to harass or threaten an offender is unacceptable.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office also wants to highlight their sex offender registration and notification services available at www.ycsoaz.gov. This resource allows residents to enter an address to see a list of registered sex offenders living within a mile radius. It provides detailed information about registered offenders in Yavapai County. They also offer a free email notification program that alerts residents to registered sex offenders within that same mile radius.
