Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Announces New Emergency Notification System

As promised, we are deprecating the CodeRed alert system and calling it a new one. Alert YAVAPAI. The system works the same as before with multiple platforms such as phone, email and text to sign up and receive alerts.

Yavapai County residents are encouraged to sign up Alert YAVAPAI, which is an emergency bulk notification system that enhances the ability to quickly communicate with the public and provide critical and time-sensitive information during emergencies such as wildfires, evacuations, floods and missing persons.by registering with Alert YAVAPAIvoice or text, email address, home phone, work phone, etc.

how does that work?

It works just like CodeRed, sending alerts when you need to be aware of emergencies and other events. For evacuation, we continue to use Ready, Set, Go alerts. The system is easy to use and the notification includes instructions for acknowledging the message. If we can’t reach you on the first attempt, the system may try another phone number or another method of communication such as text message or email.

After November 3, 2022, you can also sign up through the YCSOaz.gov website.

  • Text alerts: you can choose to receive text only Alert YAVAPAI (All in one word) Call 888-777.Then you will get a response welcoming you Alert YAVAPAI, You will then be asked to return your postal code in order to get area-based alerts.
  • EverBridge App: You can also download the Everbridge App, search for Yavapai County or Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, sign up on the webpage, and choose to receive notifications through the app.
