Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Prescott Man on Assault and Attempted Homicide Charges Following Domestic Dispute | Prescott Valley Times local news







On Sunday morning, October 27, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home in the Prescott area for a report of a domestic dispute. An initial investigation revealed a Prescott man threw his pregnant wife to the floor. During the altercation, the female victim sustained trauma to her abdomen. The husband was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to the Yavapai County Jail.

After refusing treatment at the scene, the woman was admitted to a hospital where she was informed that her 6-8 week old fetus had died. After there were signs of survival just a few days ago.

Based on that information and other information gathered during the investigation, the County Attorney’s Office added attempted murder charges against the husband in accordance with Arizona law.

“The laws of this state shall be construed and construed to grant all rights, privileges, and immunities available to other persons, nationals, and residents of this state on behalf of an unborn child at any stage of development. The Constitution of the United States and its Definitive Interpretation by the Supreme Court of the United States.”

Further investigation is ongoing and additional charges may apply.

To protect the identity of the victim, YCSO is not releasing the suspect’s name at this time.
