Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputy dies of natural causes

PHOENIX – Authorities say a 47-year-old man, a Yavapai County Sheriff's Office deputy and decorated Navy veteran, died early Wednesday morning.

YCSO said Jesse Hubble died of natural causes at his home and is survived by his wife and two children.

“Deputy Sheriff Jesse Hubble served this country and the YCSO with humility, honor and a heart of service,” Sheriff David Rose said. stated in a press release“His sacrifice will never be forgotten and my thoughts and those of all law enforcement in Yavapai County extend to his wife and children.”

Jesse Hubble served in the Navy before joining the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

Prior to joining YCSO in 2017, Hubble served in the U.S. Navy. Navy and Marine Corps Medal For heroism during the sea rescue following a helicopter crash in 2007.

Hubble was assigned to north Yavapai County in January 2018. In 2021, he became the sheriff's field training officer for new deputies.

He also volunteers as a sports coach and was honored last year by the American Legion Robert Fulton Chapter 57 in Ash Fork for his contributions to the Northern Arizona community.

YSCO will be holding a fundraising event for Hubble's family, with details to be announced in the coming days.

“Jesse Hubble, thank you for your life of service to your country and your community,” Rose said.
