Officer Luis Alvarez of the Seligman Police Department notified the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors of his impending retirement in a letter received on October 2, 2024. The Board of Supervisors accepted the officer’s resignation at the regular Board of Supervisors meeting on October 16, 2024.
The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors submits a letter of interest and resume for appointment to the position of Constable of the Seligman Station effective November 20, 2024 to complete the remainder of the term ending December 31, 2026. We are recruiting.
Persons eligible for the position of constable must be 18 years of age or older at the time of appointment, be a resident of Yavapai County, be registered to vote in Yavapai County, and be able to read and write English.
Additionally, according to ARS 16-230, the Board of Supervisors shall appoint a person from the same political party as the resigning person to fill the term until the next regular general election. The current constable was elected as a Republican.

Letters of interest and resumes must be received by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors by 5:00 PM on November 1, 2024.
The Board of Supervisors will consider letters of interest and resumes and may appoint a replacement for Officer Seligman Station at its regular Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for November 20, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. For information regarding the position, please contact us below.
