The Yavapai County Superior Court Veterans Affairs Court seeks community veterans who provide support, encouragement, and assistance to veterans in the justice system.
The idea behind the Veterans Mentoring Program is “never leave a veteran behind.” Requirements to serve as a mentor include current or previous military service and completion of a simple application. After receiving your application, the mentor coordinator will contact you.
Our Veterans Affairs Court harnesses the unique aspects of military and veteran culture and uses them for the benefit of veterans involved in the justice system. Together they participate in the treatment court process, re-instilling the sense of camaraderie they felt while in the military.
If you are interested in participating in the Veteran Mentoring Program or have any questions about mentoring involvement, please contact Kathy Ryder at 928-777-7996.
