President Joe Biden has overseen a militarization of the Justice Department to a degree that would have been unthinkable to most Americans just a few years ago. With Kamala Harris elected president, his Justice Department may seem warm and friendly in comparison.
The Biden Justice Department has spent the past four years destroying the notion of blind justice. Most notably, the Justice Department has indicted the president's biggest political opponents on dozens of felony charges for reasons that range from hypocritical and far-fetched to downright farcical. At the same time, the Justice Department has tried to give the president's son, Hunter Biden, a “sweet deal” to cover up the Biden family's influence scams.
Let us not forget that the Department of Justice has used the FACE Act to target Christian pro-life activists peacefully protesting outside abortion clinics while ignoring violent crimes against pregnancy centers and churches. This prosecutorial double standard also applies as BLM and Hamas rioters are punished while the January 6th protesters rot in prison. Children's gloves. Kamala Harris' Department of Justice dropped all charges against the left-wing rioters who attacked police yesterday, burned the flag outside the Capitol, and destroyed statues and monuments. And the vast Federal agencies It was created as a way for the Department of Justice to partner with local governments and NGOs to tackle so-called “hate crimes,” but this initiative to “combat and prevent hate-motivated violence” is actually nothing more than an attempt to preemptively censor false ideas.
but, POLITICO He points out that Attorney General Merrick Garland's reign of terror at the Department of Justice is likely to come to an end this year anyway. If Donald Trump retakes the White House, he will replace Garland with someone who will restore law and order to the Department of Justice. Even if Harris is replaced, Garland will likely be fired, but she will likely replace him with an even more radical figure.
Devout Democrats have not been above complaining about Garland's tenure at the helm of the Justice Department. As Politico points out, they complained about his appointment of special counsel Robert Hur. Investigate Biden's own little gaffe regarding classified documents. They called itRotten“They were hesitant to even pursue Hunter's criminal case. They thought Hunter waited too long to target Trump on January 6th, which was ultimately the last round of four indictments.
At least Merrick Garland is in charge of the case…oh wait. https://t.co/MHe0UN4FBt

The complaints have a common theme: Garland was too fair and objective, and the political pressures of the time caused him to delay what he believed needed to be done. In short, Democrats are angry that Garland didn't go. Enough To destroy the rule of law.
Politico spoke with a number of senior Democratic and former Justice Department officials to paint a picture of what Harris will want in a new attorney general:
“The common theme is that what the police department needs (and what Garland's office lacks) is someone who is more politically confident and competent — someone who won't hesitate to take firm stands on politically sensitive cases, even if it means upsetting swaths of the public, and who can effectively defend those decisions in the political arena.”
Translation: Harris will seek to appoint people who will lead the politics and think about the law later.
Plus, she's looking for someone who can maintain a greater offensive focus on Jan. 6 than Garland can manage.
“She should be looking for an attorney general who is aggressively pursuing the unfinished business of securing convictions, within the bounds of the law and the evidence, of all those responsible for the events of January 6th, including the most senior members of the House,” a Democratic activist who previously helped vet attorney general nominees told Politico.
Harris will not be a symbol of unity, nor will she rest on her laurels. She will intensify efforts to “beat Trump” — no matter how much it means increasing political division in an already poisoned polity.
As for names, there are plenty of rumors floating around: Harris's well-known corporate lawyer brother-in-law Tony West, Obama associates Sally Yates and Preet Bharara, former director of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division Vanita Gupta, lawyer-turned-governor Roy Cooper, Maura Healey or Josh Shapiro, or Manhattan's up-and-coming U.S. attorney Damien Williams.
It is too early to compile a list of candidates, but once the criteria are known, it hardly matters who Harris chooses. Like Harris herself, she will be an anonymous cog in the Democratic political machine, unwittingly manipulated by a one-way drive: to corner Trump, to consolidate his power, and to criminalize all opponents. Those who manage to do this will be heroes, and those who fail, like Garland, will be forgotten. It doesn't matter whether you agree with this framework or not. Any ambitious prosecutor will follow the interests of this group, if only for the sake of their own advancement. In fact, they may all compete to see who can destroy the rule of law in America the fastest. (Related: Josh Hammer: Jack Smith, Hit Man for the Democratic Legislative Complex)
So get ready: If Harris is successful, all of the Department of Justice abuses that have occurred under Biden's watch will get even worse: censorship, religious targeting, and rampant political prosecutions.
