Republican strategist Scott Jennings claimed on a CNN panel Thursday night that former Republican Georgia lieutenant governor Jeff Duncan wants President-elect Donald Trump to “fail.”
Duncan, who supported Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election, is one of several candidates for cabinet positions, including former Hawaii Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who was elected director of national intelligence, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. criticized Trump about the department. , was elected Secretary of Health and Human Services. After another panelist pointed out that Duncan didn’t like Trump’s solution, Jennings outlined Trump’s proposal.
“We will extend tax cuts, fight for American workers, bring our immigration system under control, end uncontrolled spending from the federal budget, lower inflation, and free up American energy,” Jennings said. Mr. Duncan interjected. I asked him what he was going to do to reduce inflation. ”
Mr. Duncan again pressed Mr. Jennings, insisting that he wanted details about curbing inflation, not boosting the economy.
