Yuma County Announces Public Hearings on Tax Increases

All interested citizens are invited to attend a scheduled tax hike hearing at 9am on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 9am on the Superintendent’s Audit Committee on 198 S. Main Street, Yuma, Arizona.

In accordance with ARS §42-17107, Yuma County is notifying property taxpayers of Yuma County’s intention to raise property taxes to $900,106 (2.34%). For example, this would increase taxes on a $100,000 home from $236.53 to $242.06.

In accordance with ARS §48-254, the Yuma County Library District is proposing a secondary property tax increase of $408,547 (3.71%). For example, increase the tax on a $100,000 home from $67.65 to $70.16.

Additionally, in accordance with ARS §48-254, the Yuma County Flood District is proposing a secondary property tax increase of $129,267 (3.80%). For example, increase the tax on a $100,000 home from $23.96 to $24.87.

Each of these excludes the secondary property tax increase received from new construction.

Each excludes changes that may arise from property tax tax due to guaranteed obligations approved by voters.
