Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma County Libraries hosted a STEAM social event on Saturday. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Electronics, Arts, Math.
The event begins at 11am and is a monthly program for all ages. This is the fourth time the library will host STEAM Social.
Teen and Youth Services librarian Elia Juárez said the event is about helping children learn.
“It’s a great way to keep my kids’ heads fresh during the summer, so it’s now part of my summer vacation reading program. There were various stations for participants to play with Lego, build self-driving cars, and other steam-related projects.
The Main Library will host another event next Friday at 10:30 am.
