Yuma County is pleased to announce the appointment of Humberto Del Castillo as our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Del Castillo Ochoa joins Yuma County from the City of Tucson with more than 16 years of experience in government management and business.

Mr. del Castillo Ochoa holds an international bachelor’s degree in business from Del Noroeste University in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He has spent much of his career strengthening financial operations across a variety of sectors. His extensive background in fiscal management will help advance Yuma County’s continued efforts to promote fiscal responsibility and support economic development goals.

“Humberto brings valuable depth of financial knowledge and experience to Yuma County, along with a commitment to outstanding customer service,” said Yuma County Executive Ian McGaughey. “We’re excited to have him join our team!”

Del Castillo Ochoa expressed similar enthusiasm for his new role in Yuma County.

“I am grateful and honored for the opportunity to serve the Yuma County community as Chief Financial Officer. I am motivated and look forward to working with the Board of Supervisors and the county’s dedicated team. Together, we will maintain Yuma County’s fiscal health while implementing strategies for continued growth and sustainability.”
