Yuma, Arizona (azfamily) – In their daily lives, a group of Yuma field workers were surprised to turn their ordinary day into heartfelt celebrations and gratitude.

Thank you for The labor of lovea special luncheon, an organization of Yuma-based, was organized to honor the hard work and dedication of workers during busy harvest season.

The workers were surprised by the warm and delicious lunch. The volunteers handed out the crew of about 40 workers with lunch bags filled with burritos and tacos, offering the opportunity to enjoy a meal together.

Amy Kalboski, who helps organize events with the group, said the initiative began seven years ago. Yuma Fresh Vegetable Association.

The program’s mission is simple. It’s about expressing gratitude to workers who support training in America.

Yuma produces 90% of the country’s lush greenery Winter vegetables and kalboski said this is possible for these workers.

“The work they do here is very important, but they also physically tax it,” says Karvoski.

Restaurant owners Mr. G and Chili pepper Avenir Financial has donated Goodie Bags Plus with a draw to several lucky winners.

“I’m very grateful,” said Roberto Ortiz, one of the lucky winners. “There aren’t many companies and people who recognize the work we do here, so it feels good to be thanked.”

Karvoski wants to bolster their efforts and recognize more workers’ crew in the future.

“We are always looking for more sponsors to fund these events, so if you’re interested in supporting the Labor of Love program, we can donate,” Karvoski said.

This surprise luncheon was a welcome gesture for Roberto and his team, lifting their spirits and making them feel cherished.
