In accordance with the Yuma City Charter, election percentages are determined based on the total number of votes cast, not as a percentage of the total number of votes cast. Therefore, the percentages listed may differ between the city’s listed results and Yuma County’s results. The difference is that Yuma City Council seats are considered full seats, and each ballot can contain up to three votes for city council members.

Pursuant to Article 4, Section 5 of the Yuma City Charter, the candidate receiving votes constituting a majority of all votes cast in the primary election shall be elected.

Candidates for city council will advance to the general election on November 5th, with two candidates per seat.

The vote will be final and official by the Yuma City Council.
