What a joke!
Chinese General Zhang and Hungarian Amarissa Toth The Hungarian Grand Prix kicked off on Tuesday, with the former leaving the race. round 32 It was a tearful match after the toss made a cheap move to erase Chan’s ballmark. Chan hoped the mark would remain on the clay court after being contested for line calls.
Entering the game as the second seed, Zhang hit a crosscourt forehand that seemed to land him on the line, but the line judge eventually called him out. The referee then got involved and went down to see the mark and also confirmed that the ball was out.
Furious at the call, Mr. Zhang asked to speak to the tournament manager.
The match continued until another point was contested, and with the disputed decision overturned, the toss approached the ball mark and erased it with his shoe.
“Wait, wait, wait! Protect the mark,” Mr. Zhang shouted. “What are you doing? Why are you doing this?”
Wow, unbelievable, Toth went to erase Mark even though Zhang kept yelling “Wait wait, protect Mark” pic.twitter.com/qtKC7KGyAO

Zhang was clearly distressed after the fact and decided to retire from the match after losing 6-5 in the first set.
Ms. Zhang then took to Instagram to complain about the phone call and shout out to everyone who supported her.
I don’t blame Chan for being so angry – she shouldn’t have quit, but it was a little weak – but it was still a cheap toss win. (Related: Dan Patrick announces retirement in 2027)
