Phoenix — Maricopa County Animal Care and Control There is an urgent need for blankets for the dogs in our care and we are asking the public to donate.
The washing machine at the West Branch of the evacuation center is broken and it will take several days to repair it.
The machine has broken down, so there is a backlog of dirty laundry and some bags that need to be washed.
The shelter says the blankets used by the dogs are changed daily.
“Blankets are running out quickly and we need your help to provide new blankets while we wait for the washing machine to be fixed,” the shelter said in a Facebook post.
Blankets can be donated during business hours at the branch located at 2500 S 27th Ave. in Phoenix.
