REPORT: King Charles Pens Private Letter To Donald Trump Following Assassination Attempt

King Charles III sent a private message to former President Donald Trump following Saturday's assassination attempt, according to the New York Post.

Charles reached out to Trump following the assassination attempt on the former US president during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. according to The letter was addressed to the New York Post. The 75-year-old British monarch conveyed the message through the British Embassy in Washington, D.C., Buckingham Palace confirmed to the New York Post. The contents of the letter were not disclosed.

The tone of Prince Charles' letter echoed the sentiments of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who has publicly condemned the violence, the people said. The attack took place while Trump was addressing a crowd at the Butler Farm Show. Trump narrowly escaped serious injury, with a bullet grazing his ear. The attacker, Thomas Matthew Crooks (20), was about 130 yards away from Trump, according to the New York Post, and was later subdued by Secret Service agents. The attack also left 50-year-old former firefighter Corey Comperatore dead, and two others, David Duch (57) and James Copenhaver (74), wounded.
