Former President Joe Biden emerged from political hibernation and made a campaign-like post about X, in reports that he wanted to jump in and help Democrats rebuild the party.
Biden has been out of the public eye since leaving the White House in January, and simply signs up for X and marks holidays and special occasions. But on Sunday, the former president created his first political post in weeks, promoting Obama’s Affordable Care Act, claiming that “health care is right” to be protected at all times.
“Fifteen years ago today, I was standing when President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act, which was a big deal back then and is still the case today,” Biden wrote as the Trump administration. I’ll suggest Program changes.
“Under my administration, we focused on the success of the ACA. I’m proud to help record numbers of Americans sign up for market coverage and have significantly reduced the costs of prescription drugs and premiums. I think healthcare is a right, not a privilege, and needs to be protected at all times.

Eight months ago, Biden was kicked out of the presidential election by his own party after a disastrous debate performance. Despite the party’s fuss and a calm end to his political career, the 82-year-old is reportedly telling Democratic officials what he wants to return to politics.
Biden was willing to share with several Democrat leaders with him raising money, campaigning and doing whatever it takes to help the party with Donald Trump fight back, people nearby the former president told NBC News. In February, the former president met with newly elected Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin and provided help to the party, sources said.

Former first lady Jill Biden is also offering her help to the party when she tries to rebuild, a source close to NBC News.
In the meantime, both Bidens are planning to write a book, the outlet reported. According to NBC News, Biden sometimes travels from Delaware to Washington, sometimes via Amtrak, to prepare for his book.
As the party shaking after Harris’ defeat in November, Democrats pointed to Biden’s timing of his decision to drop out of the presidential election. (Related: Because the latest scapegoat in the Kamala Campaign failed: Her Chair Height)
“She gave her a very strict hand and had an extraordinary campaign, which was handed over to her,” Mark Longobo, a former adviser to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, told Politico previously. “The truth behind the matter is that Biden should have come aside early and put together a long game plan for the party.”
