Brit Hume Says US Has Something ‘In Our Favor’ To Outlast China In Trade Fight

Britthume appeared on Fox News on Monday, saying the US has important advantages in escalating trade standoffs with China.

China defendant The US warned that tariff abuse and that it would retaliate against countries that engage in trade deals with Washington, DC at Beijing’s expense. When featured in the “Special Report with Brett Bayer,” Hume said many countries would eventually be adjacent to Washington, D.C.

“Don’t forget this, Brett, that’s our favor. It’s our economy – despite the size of China, our economy will be bigger. And if you’re going to do business, if you have to choose between two countries, it would make sense to choose the US in many countries. “But in the meantime, those who know what the economic impact of this will be, Trump continues to suggest that we have a period of adjustment. And I don’t think he means a period when everything will go well.”

China is actively seeking new trade deals with countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia and European partners. This is because the US is stepping up tariffs under President Donald Trump’s strategy to economically isolate Beijing. Hume pointed to US partnerships with countries such as Japan and India as a potential stabilizer for the market.

clock:

“I think that in countries like Japan and India, which are of a certain size and importance, it may calm the market. We are the big enchilada here and you have to not be without us.” There are many people now who believe that the US can compete with that kind of China, but that is another factor of uncertainty in the economic outlook. ”

Hume cited the suspension of orders for China’s Boeing aircraft as a concrete example of economic fallout. (Related: Brithume identifies who is pushing Democrats to bring Abrego Garcia back to us)

“Today, China’s Brett is cutting off Boeing. Boeing has received a notable order to manufacture the plane and ship it to China,” Hume said. “For at least for now, these things are stopped on their trucks, and that costs money, and if that would hurt American work and growth.

China It’s begun In response to new US tariffs, the Boeing aircraft will be sent back to the US after ordering the airline to halt further delivery. At least three 737 Max jets, including those intended for Xiamen aviation, have been recalled from China and landed at Boeing’s Seattle facility.
