Cuomo Critiques Democrats Over Epstein Documents
On Monday, Chris Cuomo, a key organizer at News Nation, accused the discourse surrounding documents related to the late Jeffrey Epstein of being more about damaging President Donald Trump than delivering justice for Epstein’s victims.
House Democrat leader Hakeem Jeffries confirmed that the party’s latest push for more Epstein-related documents isn’t driven by genuine concern. During his show “Cuomo,” he remarked that while Trump supporters are seeking accountability regarding Epstein’s associates, Democrats seem more focused on political gain.
“I don’t really know what’s low,” said Cuomo. “Playing these extreme political games, akin to diving into Epstein’s affairs like Democrats are doing, seems… off. If they truly cared, why was there no action during the Biden administration?”
Cuomo further expressed that, despite the buzz around hypothetical client lists or conspiracy theories about Epstein’s death, those in the MAGA camp are at least seeking clarity on accountability for human trafficking and sexual abuse. “The Democrats are clearly just interested in targeting Trump,” he added.
Jeffries has been actively campaigning for a week to compel the Trump administration to release extensive Epstein-related documents. He admitted on Monday that there was a lack of demand for transparency when Biden was President.
In response to a query from the Daily Color News Foundation, Jeffries stated, “It’s the far-right conspiracy theorists who’ve brought Epstein into the public conversation.” He asserted that the facts shouldn’t be disputed and that there’s a genuine need for more information on behalf of the public.
During Biden’s presidency, Democrats did not manage the documentation related to Epstein. However, tension heightened among both Democrats and Trump supporters after Axios reported that a memo revealed the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI found no “client list” left by Epstein, nor evidence of foul play concerning his suicide. Trump later instructed Attorney General Pam Bondy to release all significant court testimonies surrounding Epstein.
