Biden’s Feisty Press Conference Didn’t Quite Line Up With The Report He Sought To Play Down

Some of President Joe Biden's statements during a combative news conference Thursday night contradicted the very report from Special Counsel Robert Hur that Biden was talking about.

“The special counsel said I never shared classified information,” Biden said at a news conference, accusing his staff of moving some of the documents to his compound.

However, the report says that Biden discussed confidential information in notebooks he kept while vice president with his biographer, who was a civilian.

“Mr. Biden shared information with the ghostwriter, including the classified information contained in these notes,” the report states.

The White House has confirmed multiple times after CNN reported that classified documents were discovered in the garage of Biden's Wilmington, Delaware, home in January 2023. report Lawyers reportedly discovered the classified documents while cleaning the offices of the Penn Biden Center in November.

Mr. Biden also insisted that he kept the documents he kept in strict custody.

“Everything that was in my house was either locked or in a locked filing cabinet,” Biden said at a news conference. “It was at my house. It wasn't in a public place like Mar-a-Lago.”

Special Counsel Hoar's report states that some of the classified documents were in damaged boxes in the garage, and that the FBI agents who retrieved them had to obtain new boxes to properly transport them. It also included a photo of the location of the box. Looking at the photo, it was obvious that the box was torn.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
