Christopher Wray Reveals New Details About Trump Shooter’s Gun Used In Assassination Attempt

FBI Director Christopher Wray said at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Wednesday that the would-be assassin of former President Donald Trump used a semi-automatic rifle with a folding stock in the July 13 attack.

Trump was shot in the right ear in the assassination attempt, former volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore was killed, and two other attendees were injured. “One thing that may be relevant to your question, and I don't think has been reported yet, is that the weapon had a folding stock, which may explain why it may have been difficult for people to witness, because one of the things that we've found is that people have seen him, and the first time they saw him with a weapon was when he was already on the roof, and we've yet to find anyone who directly saw him walking around with a weapon prior to that,” Wray told Republican Rep. Andy Biggs of Arizona. “So it's not that he certainly didn't do that, but the folding stock could be a very significant feature that could be related to that.”
