Cochise County, Ariz. (KVOA) – Tuesday’s Cochise County special election asks residents to vote on excise taxes that may go toward funding the county’s prison facilities and system.
Voters are being asked to vote on a question about introducing a 0.5-cent sales tax for up to 25 years, with revenues used only to acquire, build, operate, maintain, and finance county jails. The prison system of the prison district.
