Dan Turrentine Explains How Kamala’s Book Tour Might Lead Democrats to Their Lowest Point

Kamala Harris’s Book Tour Sparks Speculation

Former Democratic strategist Dan Trenne shared on Fox News “Ingraham Angle” that Kamala Harris could pose a threat to the Democratic party if she continues to overshadow former president Joe Biden during her book tour.

Harris recently published a book detailing her short-lived 2024 presidential campaign. She discussed her experiences with late-night host Stephen Colbert, which led journalist Mark Halperin to suggest that Biden’s team might be prepping to release positive information about Harris should she decide to challenge him. When asked for her take, Trenne expressed agreement with Halperin, considering him well-connected.

Before Biden withdrew from the race in July 2024, there had been public pressure from Democrats for him to step back following a widely criticized debate against President Donald Trump that raised concerns about his mental capabilities. Key figures like Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama reportedly played significant roles in urging Biden to step aside.

Following Biden’s announcement, Harris accepted the nomination and defended him throughout his administration. When questioned about her lack of differentiation from Biden during the campaign, she noted that she planned to address this in her book and insisted that she did not “study” the former president.

Trenne opined that if Harris truly wants to stand out, she shouldn’t run if she doesn’t intend to differentiate herself from Biden. He commented on Biden’s diminishing popularity and highlighted how candidates with consistent ideologies, like Donald Trump and Ronald Reagan, ultimately gain support from the public.

Interestingly, Trenne’s reluctance to criticize Harris comes amidst Hunter Biden’s appearance in an interview where he named various Democrats who opposed his father, emphasizing the ongoing complexities within the party.
