‘Defiant 9-Year-Old’: Bill Barr Accuses ‘Petty’ Trump Of Only Having Himself To Blame For Indictment

Former Attorney General Bill Barr has accused former President Donald Trump of holding himself solely responsible for the prosecution, putting himself above the interests of the American people.

Mr Barr, who was a member of the Trump administration, said he was complicit in the fraud that his former boss had more than 300 classified documents in his Mar-a-Lago home. Special Counsel Jack Smith on June 8 indicted President Trump with 31 counts of violating the Espionage Act and six other counts.

The former attorney general said the Justice Department’s case against President Trump’s obstruction charges was “very strong” given evidence obtained from his own attorneys. He also told CBS’s “Face the Nation” that he believed President Trump lied to the Justice Department about the documents and mischaracterized the Presidential Records Act.

“This is not a story about Trump being innocent and being wrongfully pursued. said.

He then raised the question of whether Trump, who allegedly committed these crimes, is fit to lead the United States. He also said that since the Justice Department gave him an “indulgence” for deleting sensitive information stored on Hillary Clinton’s private email server, Trump should do the same. He also made a valid point. (Related: President Trump ‘Cheers’, ‘If even half the charges stick,’ Bill Barr warns)

He warned that Trump would always act “reckless” if it meant serving “his own interests” over “the interests of the country” and “satisfying his ego.”

“This is not just a special case. Trump has many good qualities and has done some good things, but the truth is that he has always been a narcissist and a danger to his political supporters. Constantly engaging in reckless acts that expose conservative Republican policies to jeopardy, he always seeks to satisfy his own interests and his ego, all other things, including the interests of the country. There’s no question about it, and this is a perfect example of that: he’s a rebellious nine who always pushes his glass towards the edge of the table in defiance of his parents who stop him. It’s like a year old child.”

“It’s an assertiveness, a way of showing superiority over others, and he’s a very narrow-minded person who always puts his own interests above the interests of his country,” he continued.

Barr further noted that Trump would likely be indicted in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riots, but this is because the former president has the right to denounce the election results. He said he was “skeptical” whether it was a “healthy incident”.
