Donald Trump Responds After Joe Biden Drops Out Of 2024 Presidential Race

Presumptive 2024 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump slammed Joe Biden after Biden announced on Sunday that he was withdrawing from the 2024 election.

Minutes after the announcement, Trump reportedly said in a call with CNN's Caitlin Collins that Biden is “the worst president in the history of our country.”

“In a phone interview with CNN minutes after Biden announced he was dropping out of the 2024 presidential race, former President Trump said, 'He's the worst president in the history of our country. He's going to be remembered as, by far, the worst president in the history of our country.' It's unclear who the Democratic nominee will be, but Trump said he thinks Vice President Harris would be easier to beat than Biden,” Collins said. I have written On X (formerly Twitter).

Minutes later, Trump appeared on Truth Social and claimed that Biden was “completely unfit to run” for president and “completely unfit to serve.”

“Villain Joe Biden is not qualified to run for President, let alone hold the office of the Presidency. And never has been! He only got to that office through lies, fake news and never leaving his basement,” Trump wrote.

“Everyone around him, including his doctors and the media, knew he was incapable of being president, and he was. And now look at what he's done to our country: millions of people coming across our borders completely unchecked and unvetted, many of them from prisons, psychiatric hospitals and record numbers of terrorists,” the Republican candidate continued. “We will be deeply hurt by his presidency, but the damage he has caused will soon be repaired. Make America Great Again!”

Following the news that Biden had dropped out of the election, the Trump campaign immediately began fundraising.

Biden approved Vice President Kamala Harris is the 2024 Democratic nominee.
