Fact check:

Social media users claim that Trump replaced Lincoln’s portrait with a portrait of Menachem Mendel Schnesson. One user said, “🚨breaking🚨 Donald Trump replaced the portrait of Abraham Lincoln, painted by Edward Dalton Merchant in 1863 with the portrait of Chabad Lubavich Rebe Menachem Mendel Schnesson. This is what I voted for!”

This claim is wrong. Through reverse image search, make sure the original image was taken in January 2025, just after Trump took office. The image was taken by Shuran Huang, photographer of the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and was shared by WSJ on Instagram.
