This claim is false. The transcript and full video of the press conference show Jean-Pierre answering Doucy's questions.
Fact check:
Ryan Wesley Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate President Trump, was reportedly told by Ukrainian soldiers that he was “delusional.” BBC NewsAccording to the media report, Routh tried to recruit foreign fighters to the Ukrainian army as the war with Russia continues.
According to an Instagram video that has been liked over 2,000 times as of writing, Jean-Pierre reportedly left the briefing room after Doocy asked him about the second alleged assassination attempt on President Trump. The video begins with Doocy asking Jean-Pierre why the Biden-Harris Administration continues to call Trump a “threat” in light of the two alleged assassination attempts on President Trump. Jean-Pierre then appears to leave the podium without answering Doocy's question.
However, this claim is false. Transcript and Full Video According to the briefing, Jean-Pierre did in fact answer Doucy's questions.
According to the same record, Jean-Pierre said:
“Peter, if you talk about anything from this administration, I actually completely disagree with the premise of your question. The question that you're asking, even the way that you're asking it, is very dangerous, because the American people are watching. And coming from an administration that has consistently condemned political violence, coming from an administration where the president called the former president and thanked him that he was safe, coming from an administration that condemned the attack on Paul Pelosi on January 6th and said that we need to de-escalate tensions after the Butler incident, and now for you to make statements like that in your question, because your question contained comments and statements. And, you know, that's very dangerous, because we've been very clear up until now that we condemn political violence.”
