FACT CHECK: Viral Photo of ‘Mark Violets’ is Not Trump Rally Shooter

Many Social media Posts The photo purports to show a man dressed in black, and some claim that he is a suspect in the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.

The man seen in the video is not the shooter. The video was posted by Italian YouTuber Marco Violi.

Fact check:

Trump was shot and injured in his right ear during a rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. The New York Times. A Trump campaign spokesman said the former president was “OK,” and footage from later in the evening showed Trump arriving in New Jersey just hours after the incident, the outlet reported.
