‘He Sh*t The Bed’: Bill Maher Rips Into Biden’s ‘Confused And Halting’ Debate Performance

Comedian Bill Maher slammed President Joe Biden's “disorganized, halting” debate performance on Friday night's “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Democrats were in a state of panic on Thursday after Biden's debate performance was roundly criticized by many Americans, including the traditional media. The “Real Time” hosts slammed Biden for his apparent struggles in his showdown with presumptive 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

“Wow. What? What? Did you watch the debate? Don't worry if you missed it, one of the contestants watched it too,” Maher said, as the audience laughs.

“Oh, wow. Trump lied on lie. Joe Biden would never have been able to get away with it,” Maher continued, drawing more laughter and applause. “Oh, wow. Oh, Joe. Joe. Please, Joe.”

“Joe, he's famously fond of trains, but apparently he doesn't like thoughts,” the comedian joked. “I mean… he was confused all night, stammering and trailing off. I've seen beauty pageant contestants answer questions better.”

“I mean, I don't want to say he screwed up, but his new Secret Service name is 'Amber Heard.' It's true. This guy was a bad guy,” Maher said.

“It wasn't just the words that came out of his mouth, it was the look on his face all night, like someone thought he'd left the stove on,” Maher said.

“I mean, the last time CNN –” Maher paused as the crowd erupted in laughter, “the last time CNN covered someone who'd suffered such a loss was when the Malaysian Airlines plane crashed in the Pacific Ocean,” the comedian continued. “And here's the greatest irony: Republicans were so afraid that Joe would outperform expectations. Remember, they were saying all last week that he would be 'excited.' They were saying he'd be excited, he'd have a secret earpiece, all that kind of crap. Really? Who was on the other end of the phone? Jimmy Carter?” Maher joked.

Days before the debate, Trump said on the “All In Podcast” that he didn't want to “underestimate” Biden. The Republican nominee also suggested in May that he and Biden take drug tests before the debate following allegations that Biden was “high” during the State of the Union address in early March.

“At one point, Trump was winning by a large margin and started talking about golf, and he just said, 'Golf, I don't care. I don't care,'” Maher said. “This is what happened in America, which used to be a real country.”

Biden has previously spoken at length about his Republican opponent's height and weight. challenging He challenged Biden to a game of competitive golf. Trump dismissed Biden's attacks, saying he'd “seen your swing” and telling the president to “stop acting like a kid.”
