The House Oversight Committee is seeking documents from Joe Biden-appointed real estate investor Elizabeth Naftali, the Democratic donor who allegedly purchased Hunter Biden art.
The House Oversight Authority sent a letter to Mr. Naftali on Saturday, requesting documents and communications regarding Hunter Biden’s art purchase report, appointment to the U.S. Overseas Heritage Preservation Commission, and visit to the White House. The New York Post first reported. “These facts raise the Commission’s concern, and the Commission seeks documentation and information regarding the purchase of Hunter Biden artwork,” the commission said, according to the New York Post. “Your position on the Commission is particularly questionable because of Hunter Biden’s past actions in trying to elevate his business partner, Eric Schwerin, to the same post while his father was Vice President. “
Hunter Biden learned the identities of Naphtali and another of his art buyers, all three of whom are directly familiar with Biden’s description of his art career. told Business Insider. Naftali has donated $13,414 to Joe Biden’s re-election campaign and at least $29,700 to the Democratic National Committee this year, the paper reported. Former President Barack Obama appointed Eric Schwerin, a longtime business associate of Hunter Biden, joined the committee in March 2015. Shortly after Schwerin’s appointment, Hunter Biden’s cousin Missy Owens asked if her mother, Valerie Biden-Owens, could receive the presidential nomination. As part of the amended child support settlement, Hunter Biden agreed to donate some of his art to his beloved child, Navy Joan Roberts. Biden will no longer pay $20,000 a month in child support for her children, and she will no longer use the Biden name.
Joe Biden did not acknowledge the existence of his grandson until a statement was provided to People magazine on Friday. The 4-year-old was confirmed to be Hunter Biden by a DNA test commissioned in 2020 by his mother, Lunden Alexis Roberts.
