‘It’s Lunacy’: Donald Trump Jr Rips Joy Reid For Comparing Trump’s Assassination Attempt To Biden Getting COVID

Donald Trump Jr. on Thursday slammed Joy Reid for comparing President Joe Biden's fight against COVID-19 to that of former President Donald Trump, who survived an assassination attempt.

During his appearance on the final day of the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Trump Jr. appeared on Fox News' “The Ingraham Angle” to discuss his reaction to the Democratic backlash. During the interview discussing the assassination attempt on his father in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Fox host Laura Ingraham accused the left of “going crazy” in response to Trump's defiance in the face of a gun attack.

Ingraham told Trump Jr. that some people, like CNN health analyst Jonathan Reiner, have recently Requested Answers regarding President Trump's health. (RELATED: Years of media misrepresentations about Biden's mental health are unfolding before our eyes)

“Joe Biden was in a vegetative state for like three and a half years and nobody questioned anything. Trump got shot in the face and he stood up and he defied and he's been here the last few days talking to people. Laura, they're that crazy,” Trump Jr. said.

“I think Joy Reid or somebody said, 'Joe Biden just had COVID. If he survives COVID, it's basically like he got shot in the face. I'll feel like I've been punked. I'm the star of The Truman Show,'” Trump Jr. continued. “Laura, blink three times if you know all that, because they're not serious. Some people were like, 'Well, he just got shot in the ear.' I was like, what are you talking about?” [about]”? You want him and you have to get more shots? That's insanity. That's insanity. Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

On Wednesday night's show, Reade asked the panel whether Biden surviving a positive COVID-19 test would be comparable to Trump surviving an assassination attempt.

Legacy media has continued to favor Biden since 2020, ignoring his gaffes until this year. Democrats and pundits began airing concerns about Biden's mental health following his poor performance in a debate with Trump in late June.

During the event, the president was seen struggling to finish his sentences at several points and freezing mid-sentence during responses. Polls have shown that voters are concerned about Biden's mental health, but CBS/YouGov vote A post-debate poll found that 72% of Americans believe Biden's mental and cognitive health is not good enough to carry out his duties, up seven points from the previous poll in early June.

Shortly after taking the stage to speak at the rally, 10-year-old Matthew Thomas Crooks fired multiple shots into the crowd, striking President Trump in the upper right ear. The shooting killed former volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore and injured two others.

There have been growing calls from within Biden's own party for the president to step down as the Democratic presidential nominee, but Biden and his team have remained adamant about staying in the race even as Trump has risen in the polls ahead of the 2024 election and attracted key Democratic voter bases.
