Radio host Charlaman the God, in a podcast episode posted to YouTube on Friday, called on President Joe Biden to use the Supreme Court's recent immunity ruling to jail former President Trump and protect democracy.

“Biden is in the presidency and he has all the kingly powers that a president supposedly has,” Charmagne said, “and while he could use some of those kingly powers to defend democracy, he won't.”
Co-host Chris Morrow joined in, suggesting this was an abuse of power.
“So democracy isn't really in danger? If democracy is really in danger and Trump is as existential a threat as they say, then we should do everything in our power to protect democracy,” Charmagne retorted.
“While also protecting our Constitution and our democracy. We cannot sacrifice democracy in order to protect democracy,” Morrow said.
Charlamagne asked “why,” then suggested Republicans might abuse the immunity ruling.
“Look, if someone has a bazooka in your neighborhood, Chris, don't show up with nine guns. You've got to get yourself a bazooka,” he added.
Co-host Alex Media said Biden could “indeed” order the killing of Trump with immunity based on the “threat” he poses to “democracy.”
“Or lock him up. You don't have to go as far as murder. Just lock him up. Lock him up. Throw away the key,” Charmagne said.
Morrow said if Biden were to jail Trump, it would be counterproductive because it would mean Republicans would be arresting Democrats.
“Chris, this guy's already been indicted on over 90 charges. He's been convicted on 34. Look, sometimes I like to show you an alternative world,” Charmagne said. “If Trump gets back in the White House, the whole Biden family is going to jail. And some of the Clintons. Chris, what are we going to do?”
The Supreme Court majority ruled that the president is entitled to “absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for acts within the scope of his categorical and exclusive constitutional powers” and “constructive immunity” for all official duties.
Former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner recently suggested Biden “use” the ruling to “protect American democracy.”
“Would we feel safe knowing that Biden did not exercise the lawlessness that the Supreme Court has said is now ingrained in the Constitution – the lawlessness that the Supreme Court's new interpretation of executive immunity allows the president, the chief executive officer of the United States, to exercise?,” Kirschner asked. “Would we feel good about the principles that President Biden has demonstrated by not exercising that power and handing American democracy over to a dictatorship? I don't know.”
