“We can't thank Kathy Bissell and the Bissell Pet Foundation enough for their support,” MCACC officials said.
With all animal shelters in the Valley currently overflowing with rescued animals, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) has announced they will be extending their free adoption events through this weekend to help alleviate the overflow problem.
“Wow! We've had an amazing turnout over the past few days with so many people finding their new best friends! The Bissell Pet Foundation saw how successful our 'Empty the Shelter' event was and wants to keep the momentum going. There are still so many wonderful dogs in need of homes,” MCACC posted on its Facebook page earlier this week. “We are extending our adoption special, where we are waiving all adoption fees, including for puppies, until Sunday, June 16th.”
