After seeing the results in South Carolina, it is clear that we need to unite behind Donald Trump to fight Joe Biden's efforts to bring this country to its knees.

From day one, I have worked to combat the Biden administration's far-left policies of reckless government spending, insane environmental regulations, and a wide-open southern border.

On the Appropriations Committee, I have worked to cut billions of dollars in wasteful government spending while ensuring that our military is adequately funded and federal dollars are used to secure our southern border.

It's no secret that the Biden administration has waged war on U.S. energy production and delayed major projects like the Keystone XL pipeline. As a result, all Americans are paying more for energy and relying on dirtier energy from Russia and China, making our nation less secure as a result.

Last year, I was proud to see HR1, the Energy Cost Reduction Act, passed in the House of Representatives. I'm especially proud that the bill I worked on, the Unleashing American Energy Act, is included in this package. My bill would counter the Biden administration's war on domestic energy production by mandating annual oil and gas lease sales in the Gulf of Mexico and offshore Alaska. The bill also includes a significant increase in Alabama's share of offshore oil and gas revenue, which is critical to shoreline restoration and conservation projects.

On top of that, Biden has used environmental terrorism to introduce regulations that will impact the livelihoods of fishermen and anglers across our country. I will support these out-of-touch environmental groups by becoming an original co-sponsor of the WHALE Act and securing language in the Commerce, Justice, and Science appropriations bill that ensures that funds are not used to force speed. We have worked tirelessly to stop this activity. Regulations in the Gulf based on endangered species.

With a government shutdown looming and borders wide open, we must unite behind the one person who can get the job done and get America back on track. We must secure our southern border and legislate spending cuts.
