Spencer Cox Dodges Whether He’d Back Trump In 2024 Election

Republican Utah Governor Spencer Cox on Saturday declined to say whether he would endorse former President Trump if he wins the 2024 GOP nomination.

Cox was featured as the main speaker at the Braver Angels convention in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. In his speech, Utah’s governor referred to Trump’s lead in the Republican primary and lamented that he could become the party’s nominee again. (Related article: Utah legislators ignore Gov. “60% of Republicans don’t want the current presidential frontrunner. 70% of Democrats don’t want the current presidential frontrunner. We don’t want two frontrunners, we’re sleepwalking into the most terrifying election of our lives,” Cox said.

“Wake up, America,” Cox begged.

The Daily Caller asked Cox to clarify his position on President Trump and whether he would endorse him if he became the 2024 Republican nominee.

“Look, I never consider future possibilities. It’s bad politics. But what I want to tell you is that I’m ready to work with President Trump,” Cox said. .

This isn’t the first time Cox has sidelined whether he will endorse Trump’s 2024 presidential nomination. He appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” and said he didn’t believe President Trump would help the party get a national ticket.

“I believe in the governor. I believe we have a chance. cox said. “I like winners and I think we need winners. I think there are several governors who are winners right now.”
