‘That’s Just Bull’: Bill O’Reilly, Chris Cumo Duke It Out Over Trump’s Global Tariffs

Former Fox host Bill O’Reilly sparred with News Nation host Chris Cuomo on the impact of President Donald Trump’s newly imposed global tariffs in “Cuomo” Wednesday segment.

Trump announced mutual tariffs on countries claiming imports from the US to bring manufacturing back to the US during the segment, and O’Reilly argued that Trump’s tariffs would return jobs to the US and benefit the economy in the long term.

“Let’s go to Bernie Sanders. Let’s go to the crew of income inequality. Why do you think there are so many income inequality?” O’Reilly said. “High-priced union manufacturing jobs have been moved abroad and replaced by services with no such a lot of wages or public services, so what Trump clearly stated was, “I’m going to get those manufacturing jobs back, people are going to increase the likelihood that they’ll make American money.”

“But it’s very speculative,” Cuomo said. First of all, most of the jobs we lost… no, that’s not a plan. It’s a speculation, not a plan, it’s a speculation. That’s what you call a plan. I don’t know that these tariffs will be coming back for two reasons. tax. The primary reason for losing a job here is innovation, which means there has been an increase in innovation.

“It’s just a bull,” O’Reilly replied. (Related: “I’ve never met a tax cut I didn’t like”: Kudlow examines the possibilities and pitfalls of Trump’s tariffs)

O’Reilly then argued that large companies, including Apple, have already signed a contract with Trump to return manufacturing plants to the US, demonstrating that the president’s tariffs are affecting the industry. In February, Apple announced a $500 billion investment in US manufacturing, and plans to hire 20,000 American workers over the next four years.

Union workers in the auto and steel industry praised Trump’s tariffs on Fox operations on Wednesday, saying the president’s policies would improve the industry by returning jobs to the United States.
