Fox Business host Charles Payne said Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign is waging a “war on capitalism” by taking “control” of the economy.
Harris unveiled her economic plan at a rally on Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina, promising to impose federal law on food and grocery companies to stop “price gouging.” Payne argued on “The Story with Martha MacCallum” that Harris' newly announced economic policies prove her campaign is “obsessed” with an approach in which “government knows everything, can do everything and give you everything.”
“We're talking about a war on capitalism,” Payne said. “They don't really believe in capitalism. I never thought she was changing her position. But the election of Governor Minnesota [Tim Walz] They cemented this. They are obsessed with some kind of big government that knows everything, does everything, and provides everything, and they are no fans of profit or capitalism…It's always about control. They want to control, they want to pick winners and losers, and they want to punish the losers.”

“If we are so great, why try to change us?” Payne mused. “Why try to change everything that has made us the greatest country in the world? Why? Think about it. Think about all the great things out there that are changing society, changing humanity.”
