Former President Donald Trump has a commanding lead over President Joe Biden on the economy and immigration, the biggest issues for voters in battleground states, according to a poll Wednesday.
Voters in the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania said they trust Trump over Biden on both key issues by double-digit margins. according to Responded to a Bloomberg/Morning Consult survey. In every battleground state except Georgia, more people say immigration is the “single most important issue,” but the economy remains at the top of the list in each state.
The poll found that across seven states, 36% said the economy was their top priority, and 13% said the same about immigration. The poll also found that Trump has widened his lead over Biden in six of the seven battleground states: Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. Trump lost 1 point in Arizona, but still holds a 3 point lead over Biden.
The former president leads Biden 48% to 42% in the seven battleground states surveyed, an increase of 1 percentage point from the previous survey.
According to the poll, Trump has a 5-point lead in Nevada and a 2-point lead in Georgia. In North Carolina, the former president's lead expanded to double digits, with Trump leading Biden 49% to 39%.
Polls show Trump's lead in Michigan and Wisconsin widened from 4 points to 5 points. Trump also won by 1 point in Pennsylvania.

The survey separately surveyed 800 voters in Arizona, 798 in Georgia, 703 in Michigan, 457 in Nevada, 706 in North Carolina, 795 in Pennsylvania, and 697 in Wisconsin. It was carried out in Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania had a 3% margin of error. Michigan, North Carolina and Wisconsin had a margin of error of 4 percentage points. Nevada's margin of error was 5%.
