President Donald Trump announced Monday that he would revoke Secret Service protections for former President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.
Trump wrote in the Truth Social Post that both Hunter Biden and his sister Ashley Biden are writing that “quickly” revoke Secret Service protections. The president explained that Hunter had as many as 18 Secret Service agents in his details, but Ashley would also be removed from 13 agents.
“Hunter Biden has long been subject to Secret Service protections, all paid by US taxpayers. There are as many as 18 people in this detail, but that’s ridiculous! He’s currently on vacation in every part of South Africa, where people’s human rights are being called into question violently, which is why South Africa is off the list of countries with economic and financial support,” Trump wrote in the Post.
“Immediately, I recommend that Hunter Biden no longer receive Secret Service protection. Likewise, Ashley Biden, who has 13 agents, will be off the list,” he continued.
The former president’s son was recently found in South Africa on vacation while being protected by details of a secret service. According to For reporting. Under federal law, the former president and his spouses are subject to lifelong Secret Service protection, but close relatives over the age of 16 will not receive such a thing. Biden expanded details of his child for another six months before he took office. Trump did the same thing in his first term.
When he visited the Kennedy Center early Monday, Trump suggested that he would make such a move to the Hunter details, but it was the first time he had learned that.
“You’ll say there are 18 people. [Secret Service agents] With Hunter Biden, that will be what I see this afternoon,” Trump told reporters.

After a few months of claims from both Biden and his staff, the former president issued a Hunter Biden pardon before he got a job. A Delaware ju umpire convicted Hunter Biden in June of intentionally owning a gun. (Related: KJP will orally whip the reporter after Biden forgives the Hunter)
“A reasonable person who sees the facts of Hunter’s case can’t reach a conclusion other than being chosen just because Hunter is my son. That’s wrong. There was an effort to defeat Hunter, who is sober for five and a half years, in the face of merciless attacks and selective prosecution. In trying to break Hunter, they tried to break me. And there’s no reason to believe it will stop here. Biden wrote in his pardon.
