Video Shows Kids Pulling Off 11-Second Heist In Florida

A group of young thieves broke into an electronic repair shop in Florida Thursday morning, stealing thousands of dollars worth of goods in about 11 seconds.

Techy Repair’s surveillance cameras captured CBS news the moment the three children robbed the building around 1am. It has been reported Friday.

The footage showed children entering the building after the children threw broken bricks through the shop window. The kids conquered everything, competing in the sections of the store where the most expensive devices were stored and caught.

Shopkeeper Yovany Herrera told CBS News that he believes the robbery is carefully planned. He said the kids visited the store a week ago and asked about his most expensive device while they were charging their phones.

“They ask if I have an iPhone 15, an iPhone 16, and ask for the most expensive devices and check the location of the expensive devices,” he said.

Herrera’s suspicions were raised by questions and he asked them to leave. When he tried to return one of his phones, the kids failed to push their way back into the store.

“For me, that’s difficult,” Herrera said. “When you meet a 10-year-old child with one child, this is the future for these people.” (Related: Florida police say they found a vast armory in an assault on the 11-year-old.)

Police in Fort Lauderdale are investigating whether children belong to the larger criminal network. They estimate that the children carried away $9,000 worth of electronics. They are asking anyone with information to contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
