What to Expect on Election Day in Yuma County

As Election Day approaches, Yuma County is committed to providing transparent and efficient voting results to our community.

As the process progresses, you can expect the following:

Tuesday – November 5, 2024 – Election Day

At 8 p.m., the first set of results will include all early votes counted and in-person votes received before Election Day. Results after 8 p.m. will be communicated from the Vote Center location. Once the vote center location is entered into the counting center, the results will be uploaded until the last location is reached.

Early ballots (early ballots dropped off at Vote Centers on Election Day) and provisional ballots are audited at each polling place’s closing, taken to corporate headquarters, and forwarded to Voter Services staff for processing. Masu.

The estimated number of votes remaining to be processed will be reported with the final announcement of results on Election Day.

Wednesday – November 6, 2024 – After Election Day

Voter Services will audit voters from electronic poll books and late early voting submissions on Election Day.

Voter Services will begin processing late early and provisional ballots received from all Vote Centers.

Voter Services will forward verified ballots received on Election Day from mail delivery and secure drop boxes to Elections Services.

The hand count drawing begins at 2 p.m.

Friday – November 8th – November 13th, 2024

Results will be posted (once completed)

Saturday – November 9, 2024

The hand count will begin at 9 a.m. The purpose of the hand count audit is to compare the results of the electronic count with a limited hand count audit to ensure that the machines are operating properly and counting votes accurately.

Sunday – November 10, 2024, 5:00 p.m.

Last day for identity verification of provisional ballots and signature hardening of early voting affidavits.
