The Yavapai Justice and Mental Health Coalition would like to invite local and statewide media to cover the second annual A Call To Action. The Arizona Human Trafficking Summit, Summit Welcome Session will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at Harrah's Actin Hotel and Casino in Maricopa, Arizona. This event serves as a vital platform to raise awareness and collaborate to prevent further discussion around the critical issue of human trafficking in the state.

Call to action! The Arizona Human Trafficking Summit aims to bring together local and state leaders, law enforcement, courts, educators, advocates, and survivors to unite in the fight against this heinous crime. Speakers from across the country represent a variety of experts and survivors who will share their experiences, insights, and strategies for combating human trafficking in Arizona and beyond at this three-day summit. The welcome session will feature Yavapai County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Division Commander Tom Boltz and Dr. Dominic Law Sepowitz, MSW. As a professor at Arizona State University and director of the Sex Trafficking Intervention Research Office (STIR), please share with us your experiences across the state in the past 12 months, including funding, advocacy, prevention, community engagement, and partnerships. We will feature a review of anti-human trafficking efforts. We often discuss topics such as overcoming demands, the need for victim-centered care, and the power of establishing multidisciplinary teams in communities.
