Yuma County announces Interim Election Services Director

Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY) – The Yuma County Election Advisory Board has appointed Francisca “Kika” Guzman as Interim Director of Election Services.

The county appointed Guzman, the current election services coordinator, on January 23.

Guzman will replace Tiffany Anderson. The county has appointed Anderson as Director of Yuma County Facilities Management.

“Kika has been a loyal, dedicated and professional Yuma County elections official for over 15 years,” said Rick Colwell, Yuma County Recorder.

“In a non-election year, there is no rush to recruit or hire new election officials because we have qualified and competent individuals in our office to take on the role,” he said. Colwell continued.

“I am honored and excited to begin the role of Interim Director of Election Services,” Guzman said.

Guzman also added that he was “committed to ensuring the highest possible level of customer service and election integrity.”

Guzman will serve as interim director until the county selects an ideal candidate for the job.
